HOW TO BUY
Before the auction,the lots are exhibited in our saleroom of Via Cairoli 26 in Brescia,allowing buyers to check the lots as well as the authenticity and the state of conservation of the works.
The staff of the auction is available for any details you may need.
If you cannot visit Santa Giulia, you may require digital illustrations and a condition report certifying the state of conservation of the work.


PAYMENT FORMS

Payment of the sold lots is made within ten days of the sale, by:

  • Cash up to 1,999.00 euros
  • Bank cheque to CASADIO SAMUELE
  • Wire transfer to CASADIO SAMUELE at:

LOT COLLECTION

The collection of sold lots is made within 15 days of the sale.
Beyond this deadline, goods are transferred to Santa Giuliapremises in via Cairoli.
In that event, shipping and storage expensesare the responsibility of the Buyer and the auction house shall not be liable forthe custody and the damages.
When collectingthe lot, the Buyer shall provide an identity document otherwise, in the event of thirdparty collection, submit Buyer’s written authorization and copy of his/her identity document.
The staff of the auction house will arrange for lot packaging and shipping at Buyer’s expense and risk and upon Buyer’s request. The Buyer shall release and hold the auction house harmless.
We remain at your disposal forthe most suitable means of transport (post, courier or shipping agent). We are working with partner couriers and we appoint the firms for you.
You can obviously also arrange transport by yourselves.


RESALE ROYALTY (droit de suite)

On April 9th, 2006 Legislative Decree 13 February 2006, no. 118 came into force and pursuant to Directive 2001/84/EC, introduced in the Italian legal system the artist’s right, or entitled people’s right, to be paid an extra amount on the sale price of the original works following the first sale (“resale royalty”). We work out the amount as follows:
  • 4% between 0 and 50,000.00 euros;
  • 3% between 50,000.01 and 200,000.00 euros;
  • 1% between 200,000.01 and 350,000.00 euros;
  • 0,5% between 350,000.01 and 500,000.00 euros;
  • 0,25% over 500,000.00 uros.
Santa Giulia, as the auction house, pays the “Resale right”due to the Italian Society of Authors and Publishers (SIAE).
In addition to the clearing price,commissions and other expenditure, the Buyer agrees to pay the “resale right” that is up to the Vendor in accordance with Article 152, paragraph I, Law 22 April 1941, no. 633.
