SELL
At Santa Giulia items to be auctioned for future sales are subject to free valuation.
A rough estimate is given by emailing pictures together with detailed information, such as sizes, signatures and dates and the state of conservation of the works.
An appointment can be arranged for a value to visit your home in Piedmont, Liguria, Lombardy, Emilia Romagna, Veneto, Trentino-Alto Adige/ Südtirol and Tuscany.
Prior to the auction a reserve price is set corresponding to the confidential minimum price agreed upon at the online auction. On the hammer price, Santa Giulia commission is charged at the rate of 15% and 1% as insurance payout.
When delivering the lots, the auction house issues a deposit receipt with lot descriptions and agreed reserve prices; then, you will be asked to sign the seller agreement with the contractual terms and conditions, the reserve prices, the lot numbers and all additional costs to be paid by the client.
After the auction, vendors will receive an email with the list of their lots and knocking down.
For the unsold lots, you can agree the reserve price reduction allowing time to re-offer the lots for sale also by private treaty.
If not, they are removed at consignor’s expense within 30 days of the sale.
After this date, the consignor shall pay for transportation and custody charges.
The auction house disclaims all responsibly for any loss or damage of the lots left at Santa Giulia saleroom premises.

PAYMENTS

The auction house undertakes to pay the lots to the Vendor within 30 days of the sale, by check (a tour office) or wire transfer exclusively on the bank account of the owner of the lots, subject to the condition that the Buyer makes the payment and no complaint is made.
